WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD TO MAKE A DECISION WHICH COULD COST YOU YOUR CAREER?

Ten years ago in my home town of Swindon, a beautiful young woman left a nightclub in the early hours of the morning and was never seen again.

She was loved. She had a family, she had a partner and she was out with friends. She was young, loving and living life to the full and the last thing on her mind was that she could be in danger.

This is a rare thing, however not as rare as you might think. It could be your daughter or grand daughter…

This particular young Swindon girl, though, could not have known that the taxi driver she encountered was a murderer and he’d murdered at least one woman before her. Sian was his last victim. It took five days for the police to find her body and her family and friends have lived with that pain for a decade. I did not know Sian, or her family, I do know some of her friends. I know they feel her loss deeply still.

Yet this story didn’t end there — in fact it’s not ended even now. This man started to confess to another killing in an investigation which was fast moving and the man heading up the investigation, Steve Fulcher, was faced with a moral dilemma.
