Emma is an executive coach who can empower others to push through because she’s living proof that it can be done…

This week we are going all alphabetical with Emma, Fi and Graeme, three more wonderful people with varying expertise that they wish to use to inspire and to positively impact others. Let’s start with Emma:

Burnout to Transformative Executive Coach

Emma Georgiou’s journey from biomedical scientist to executive coach is a story of transformation and purpose. With a good dose of passion for empowering professionals like her added in.

After earning her PhD in biomedical sciences, she started what was to be a 14-year career in corporate healthcare communications. This blend of scientific knowledge and corporate experience would prove invaluable in her future coaching practice.

But corporate life comes with pressures and expectations which led to exhaustion and burnout for Emma — although it took her a while to recognise what was happening to her own wellbeing.

Now Emma channels her own experience into a mission to help others. After experiencing the power of coaching herself, she got a diploma in Transformative Coaching, accredited by leading industry bodies.

Emma’s coaching philosophy is refreshingly holistic. She understands that our personal and professional lives are deeply interconnected. Whether working with individuals or entire organisations, Emma focuses on building resilience, improving performance, and creating happier, more cohesive teams.

Her clients, varying from healthcare to professional sports sectors, describe her coaching style as “empowering”, “insightful”, and “authentic”. These qualities shine through in her speaking engagements, where she tackles topics like overcoming imposter syndrome and embracing your authentic self.

Outside of her coaching practice, Emma gives back to her community. She sponsors a local business networking group and volunteers as a coach for Yes Futures, empowering young people to realise their potential.

Emma Georgiou is proof that with the right blend of expertise, empathy, and a commitment to growth, it’s possible to transform challenges into opportunities for positive change. She’s definitely on the way to success in the world of executive coaching and leadership development!

Fi Da Silva Adams believes every child is special, precious and should be given roots to grow & wings to fly

A Performing Arts Champion Changing Lives

Fi Da Silva-Adams’ story is inspiring. With over 35 years of experience in the performing arts industry, starting as a drama teacher all the way through to the launch of Revolution Performing Arts (RPA) in 2007.

She offers drama sessions to children and young people in Swindon inspired by her own children with whom she would “fly off on a magic cupboard to wonderful imaginary places.” Fi wanted to share this magic with other families.

Fi has grown RPA from early toddler sessions to engaging with approximately 400 young people weekly through various classes across Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. She is looking to celebrate uniqueness and amplify youth voices, so as to make a difference to people’s lives through the performing arts.

Fi’s impact extends far beyond RPA. As a champion of women’s empowerment, she uses her own journey to inspire others. Her role as a Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service (SDASS) Ambassador is an opportunity to use her commitment to the role of performing arts in healing from trauma. She provides free sessions for families impacted by domestic abuse, effecting profound change in their lives.

Outside of RPA, Fi is a captivating speaker on topics ranging from the power of positivity to navigating entrepreneurship with ADHD. Her recent recognition with the Outstanding Contribution to the Community Award at the South West Business & Community Awards in February 2024 is a testament to her impact.

Fi Da Silva-Adams is proof that with passion, purpose, and a commitment to nurturing young talent, it’s possible to create a thriving business that truly changes lives.
