Antiques Expert Welcomes Royal Guest — yet finds the extraordinary in the ordinary routinely!

Paul Martin hosted a landmark charity concert in the Spring at Salisbury Cathedral in the presence of Queen Camilla, helping to raise £91,000 for Wiltshire charities. This is just one way in which this South West-based tv presenter and antiques expert gives back to his own community.

This particular event featured The Band of The Grenadier Guards, The Band and Bugles of The Rifles, and pianist Rupert Egerton-Smith and Paul was the perfect host for the evening. Having worked with Paul for around a decade, this is a man who simply attracts people to him.

Trying to go for a coffee with my mate Paul to catch up and plan our future stories is a lesson in negotiation as everyone wants to stop, chat, talk and take pictures. Paul is the ultimate gentleman and never gets impatient, always grateful for the audience he has.

When not on tv he is Head of Valuations at Henry Aldridge and Sons in Devizes where he recently oversaw the sale of a Titanic memorabilia watch to Tiffany’s in New York for £1.3 million. His packed speaking calendar will have him running from venue to venue this season and I’ve no doubt that this will be any different in 2025 (so if you want Paul to speak at your event contact us…
