Making Menopause Matter At Work
Kate Usher marked World Menopause Day last month with new ideas for workplace support. She works tirelessly to change how businesses think about menopause, with talks that bring real change to offices right across the country and across borders.
At a recent Sky TV session, she sat down with managers and staff, where one team leader shared his real-world experience of helping menopausal colleagues. His openness about supporting women in his team set a new standard for workplace talks.
Her work in male-heavy industries has been a revelation — even to her. At a morning meeting for Real Estate Balance and Maples Teasdale, 95% of those in the room were male.
She works in Europe too, recently working with VIB, a Flemish research group, to talk about gaps in menopause studies.
